The world knows, Sushma Swaraj, India’s Minister of External affairs is probably the only minister who helps people resolve with their most internal of affairs. From saving, failing marriages (due to unavailability of visa) to bringing stranded sons home, @SushmaSwaraj has helped them all.

The Twitter handle is imperative because that, over the course of time, has become her online avatar. While there are innumerable stances where the iron lady has gone out of her way to help people in need, this time around she actually saved a person from committing suicide.

It all happened when a Twitter user tagged her on a plea that seemed like a matter of life and death.

And pat came the reply,

As it seems, the lady was in anguish because she was denied the visa to New Zealand and also the chance to meet her husband. Here is the conversation that followed.

What more can one ask?

That wasn’t all. There was another woman with a plea that awaited Sushma’s attention just like any other. She tweeted,

And Sushma being the saviour she is, wrote back saying,

The lady, in her tweets, mentioned why she needed Sushma’s help.

And going by the body of her work, I’m sure the people’s minister will find a way to help her and relieve her of her miseries.
