Sushma Swaraj Helps A Widowed Mother And Newborn Baby Stranded In USA. Wins Hearts All Over

If there is a minister in the current system who has won hearts throughout the nation, it is none other than our Foreign Minister Mrs Sushma Swaraj. With her huge social media presence, she has helped a lot of people in trouble overseas.

The most recent case is of Deepika Pandey and her baby girl. Unfortunately, Deepika lost her husband Hariom Pandey to a heart attack only a few weeks before the birth of their daughter.

Deepika, who also has a four year old son is a resident of Boston, Massachusetts. After her husband’s sudden demise, her friends took her to New Jersey with them for better medical care.

In United States Of America, the health insurance of one state is not valid in another. Being pregnant, she couldn’t have travel back to India for treatment. Deepika was in utter crisis.

 

Deepika’s family wrote a letter to the Prime Minister asking for help on her health insurance issues and making the OCI (Overseas Citizenship Of India) Card for her child at the earliest.

 

The letter received massive support on social media and it reached Mrs Swaraj too. Soon after this request was made, Mrs Swaraj instructed the Indian embassy to help Deepika in every way possible.
