It is rightly said that only the grieving heart knows the pain of losing a loved one. Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden death was a setback for his family and his well-wishers alike. Even his colleague and a good friend Kriti Sanon took to social media to mourn the loss of the actor.
But his family got another shock with the death of another family member. The family hadn’t completely mourned the loss of their beloved Sushant when the actor’s sister-in-law died in his ancestral village Maldiha in Purnia district of Bihar, reported The Tribune.
Sudha Devi, 48, wife of Sushant’s cousin brother Amrendra Singh, was shocked to hear about Sushant’s suicide. Soon after, the ailing liver cancer patient’s health deteriorated and she died on Monday evening. Sushant’s funeral was conducted on Tuesday morning.
Amrendra’s nephew Sanu Kumar said that Sudha was unconscious for two days after she learnt of Sushant’s death. The family said that she had stopped eating anything despite being pleaded by others. Times Of India quotes a family member Rakesh Kumar as saying, “Lekin wo kisi ki baat nahi mani (but she didn’t pay heed to anyone’s request).”
She reportedly kept on weeping and recalling the time spent with Sushant during his visit to his ancestral village last year. Rakesh added:
“Sushant’s untimely demise virtually shook her from within. She could not bear the loss and breathed her last.”
Sushant’s cousin Panna Kumar Singh also revealed that Sushant wanted to open a school for girls at the village. “But his dreams shattered like a house of cards,” he said.
Losing two family members simultaneously is the worst that can happen to anyone. We pray that God grants strength to the family at such difficult times.
