Big Moment For The Country: Indians Celebrate After The Successful Launch Of Chandrayaan 3

July 2014 2023 will be written down in history as the golden day for India’s space sector. The Chandrayaan 3 mission by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was launched successfully from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, at 2:35 PM. Through this mission, ISRO scientists aim to reach the orbit of the moon, make a soft landing on the lunar surface, and study the surface of the moon, reported Mint.

In the 2019 Chandrayaan 2 mission, problems had risen during the last stage of the descent where the lander and rover crashed on the moon’s surface. This time, if there is a successful soft landing, India will become the 4th country to have done so, after the US, Russia and China, reported Indian Express.

“Chandrayaan-3 has started its journey towards the moon. Our dear LVM3 has already put Chandrayaan-3 craft into the precise around earth…Let us wish all the best for the Chandrayaan-3 craft to make its farther orbit raising manoeuvres and travel towards the moon in the coming days,” said ISRO chief S Somanath.
