Shah Rukh Khan Talks About What Failure Feels Like & Why He’s Not Signing Any New Projects

Shah Rukh Khan’s last film ‘Zero‘ wasn’t received well at the Indian box office but was recently screened at the Beijing International Film Festival. During his visit to the country, the actor got candid about the audience’s verdict and his future movie projects in an interview with China Radio International (CRI).

He expressed disappointment on the fact that the film failed to do well in theatres despite all the effort and love the team put in while making it. This came with the revelation that he hasn’t signed any other film post Zero.

“I won’t do anything for 2-3 months. There are a few stories that are good, but I have not taken a decision emotionally. Mentally, I know it’s good. But I haven’t decided anything yet,” he said in the interview.

He went on to say that he will announce his next project only when his heart is in it.

“I said somewhere that I might decide in June about my next project. But I won’t even do it in June, I will only do a film when I feel like doing it from my heart. I only act when it comes from my heart, but this time I don’t feel like doing it. A lot of people are telling me stories, I’ve heard 15-20 stories, I liked 2-3 of them. But I haven’t decided yet which film to do.”

The reason King Khan gave for his sabbatical from Bollywood was his children.

“Suhana is still in college, Aryan will hopefully pass his college in a year. I want to spend more time with my family.”

Guess we’ll just have to wait a while before the Badshah of Bollywood lights up the silver screen once again with his magic.
