Superstars are not ones to shy away from asking for gigantic fees for their many endeavours, including top franchise movies, brand endorsements, and other ventures. It is in this light that Forbes magazine compiles a list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities to give us a glimpse into their spectacular lives.

The ever humble Akshay Kumar still managed to top above Indian biggies Amitabh Bachchan (at no. 18) and Salman Khan (at no. 14). Both him and Brad Pitt have similar gross earnings amounting to $ 31.5 million. Shah Rukh Khan and Brad Pitt share the no. 8 spot with earnings of $ 33 million.
The list features some knockout big names, topped by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson with a mind-blowing earnings figure of $ 64.5 million. Other favourites include Leonardo di Caprio, Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford, and Matt Damon.
Salman Khan at no. 14 notched up an impressive figure of $ 28.5 million while Big B at no. 18 had a decent $ 20 million in his bag. The Rock rules at the top with big movies under his belt like Central Intelligence, Baywatch, and Fast 8 slated to release in the near future. The only other Asian actor in the list is Jackie Chan, who’s earning big bucks in the Chinese industry.
It’s interesting to see how this list will shape up five to ten years down the line, and if there will be newcomers as well.
