Wife Ordered To Pay Husband ₹1 Lakh For Spying On His Phone & Invading His Privacy

A while back, a court in UAE asked a man to pay Rs. 1.9 lakh as compensation for sending a woman hurtful messages and accusing her of having relationships with multiple men.

Now, a civil court in Ras Al Khaimah has ordered a woman to pay 5,431 dirhams (around Rs.1 lakh) to her husband for spying on his phone and violating his privacy, reports Khaleej Times.

The husband filed a complaint against her after she transferred his photos and recordings and sent them to family members. He told the court that she insulted him and tarnished his image which caused him psychological damage. Furthermore, he added that pursuing legal recourse made him lose out on his salary and that he had to shell out money in attorney fees, reports Times Now News.

The wife’s lawyer told the court that the husband had verbally abused her and kicked her and their daughter out of the house.

Eventually, the court ruled that the man deserved financial compensation for invasion of privacy and legal expenses but not for his missed salary.
