When Society’s Problems Get Too Real, These Comics Will Help Lighten The Mood A Little

We live in a society which is nowhere near as progressive as you’d want it to be. Women face sexism on a daily basis, the LGBTQ community is treated like a bunch of exotic animals and good career opportunities outside of engineering or medicine seem like a farfetched thought. Many of us do realise that all of these things happen and we try to make society aware of this as best we can through our artforms. Some of us joke about it on stage, some write critical blog posts while a few others resort to graphical illustrations.

This Facebook page, Sanitary Panels, hilariously depicts everyday problems that we encounter in life and in our society at large:

1. Hello, hypocrisy my old friend.

2. Pretty sure that’s how several Bollywood film discussions go.

3. Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s actually how decisions were taken.

4. I know the feeling only too well.

5. We all have that one friend.

6. Hilariously accurate!

7. Perfectly captures this crazy, wild ride called life.

8. Not the worst idea to give a kid a much needed reality check, eh? 😉

9. What red flags, I don’t see any red flags?

10. You can be anything you want to be, as long as it’s an engineer. 😛 (courtesy: Sorabh Pant)

11. Oh hypocrisy, we meet again!

12. I feel so bad about this.

13. Yup, because pink is the key to every woman’s heart.

14. Finally, some sense.

15. Of course, your CSR initiative totally saved the planet.

16. That’s exactly the kind of reaction that deserves.

17. Every introvert like me can relate.

18. And this one too!

19. For those who got it, hahahahahahaha!

20. Gay enough for you yet?

This artist clearly has both a vivid imagination and a keen sense of observation. I hope you guys had a good laugh and also learnt a thing or two along with it.
