Bollywood buffs reunite, ‘Ala re ala, Simmba ala‘.
‘Simmba’ revolves around a corrupt police officer played by Ranveer Singh. He is quite happy with his life until a brutal incident forces him to look at the errors of his ways. What he does next is what the story is all about. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars newcomer Sara Ali Khan as the leading lady.
With the film hitting the theatres today, initial audience reactions have already started pouring in. And to help you decide whether to go watch it or not, we summarized it all in 15 tweets. Have a look.
Many cinemagoers loved the film for what it was, aankh maaro and seeti bajao type entertainment. Ajay Devgn fans found his cameo appearance incredible. And most importantly, the scenes that showed violence against women and how it needs to end were handled with the seriousness they deserve.

#SimmbaReview Kudos to #RohitShetty for bringing @ajaydevgn & @RanveerOfficial together in this action-packed entertainer. No doubt, nobody does masala films better than him. What a perfect end to 2018.#RanveerSingh | #AjayDevgn | #Simmba | @DharmaMovies | @RelianceEnt |

(3/4) The power of women is touched upon beautifully & the scenes around sexual voilence are never crass, everything is dealt with utmost sensitivity. There are ample moments in the 2nd half to love & ponder over, raises awareness and makes you clap & whistle.

Having said that, there were many (even loyal Ranveer Singh fans) who were not impressed by the film. They deemed it predictable and lacking in an intriguing storyline.

So what’s the verdict guys, will you go and watch ‘Simmba’ this weekend for typical Rohit Shetty fare? Or give it a miss because you’d rather see ‘Temper’ at home?
