Similarly, when Shefali Shah went shopping with her family in a foreign country, her two sons, Maurya and Aryaman who are very brand-conscious and fashion savvy, thought that their mother too should dress up in branded clothing. On the contrary, Shafali is a woman of comfort who rarely cares about brands. Her sense of ‘style’ is something she “doesn’t have to sell a kidney for”.
She took to Instagram to hilariously talk about the shopping incident. Her funda is simple – invest in clothing which you can wear all the time.
Her sons, on the other hand, know the names of every brand possible and began suggesting items that made sense to her to purchase.
Then her sons hit her with this line – “You are an actor, you are seen and recognised. You should wear brands.” To this, Shefali Shah had the perfect comeback – “I am the brand,” she said.
