YouTuber Makes A Perfect 10/10 Nerdy Parody Of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’

parody

Unless you’re living under a rock (or in a parallel universe), you surely have heard, learned, sang along and hummed to Ed Sheeran’s Grammy-winning song ‘Shape Of You’. While many people debated that the lyrics of this internationally popular song was objectifying women, several parodies were made and shared.

One such parody is my absolute favourite called ‘In love with your philosophy’. Shared on YouTube by NegatingSilence the song talks about everything the original one did not. It talks about the boy being attracted to the girl’s mind, intelligence and that he is “in love with your point of view”.

The parody starts off with the boy singing,

“The bar isn’t the place to find a lover so the library is where I go.”

If that wasn’t enough to get the nerd in me hooked, he went on to sing,

“Girl you know I want your mind, you’re analytical and literary; come at me intellectually, I may be wrong I’ll take critique.”

So here, watch the video here while I recover from this.

There’s heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual. Then there are people who are sapiosexual. For those who don’t know (I’m judging you silently), sapiosexuals are people who find intelligence sexy and attractive. Basically, they love your mind more than your body.

I mean, sure being stupid together is adorable. But wouldn’t it be amazing to have someone you can discuss your perpetual existential crisis with, without being labelled crazy? Or talk about the Big Bang Theory and the doom that humans are headed towards?

Do guys like these even exist? Someone who’ll tell me they agree with my POV and like my philosophy of life? Because if they do, I want me some of that!
