With the oil prices hitting an all time low in Saudi Arabia, the government has a put intense pressure on the finances of constructional industries, that has left thousands of foreign workers without any money for food.
Now, the Indian government is considering to evacuate more than 10,000 India workers in Saudi who have no food for money, let alone for buying food.
There’s a high chance of airlifting the stranded Indian workers and the decision will be taken after junior foreign minister VK Singh visits the west Asian kingdom next week.
Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj asked the the Riyadh consulate to provide free ration to the unemployed Indians for the time being. She was prompt in her actions had kept no stones upturned in making sure that the stranded Indians are provided for.

In case an airlift is executed, this would be the first time the operation would be done for economic reasons as far as India and a gulf country is concerned.
