Not once, not twice, but on multiple occasions, Sara Ali Khan has claimed that she lives a very middle-class life. She apparently buys clothes from Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar, scolds her mother Amrita Singh when she buys expensive towels, and skips purchasing data roaming that costs Rs 400.
And now, in her recent interview with Vogue India, Sara Ali Khan revealed that she has no designer clothes in her wardrobe.

“I don’t have a single pair of designer clothing in my wardrobe. I know people initially judged me for it but I’m happy that they can now not only appreciate but also identify with me because of these very reasons,” she said.
This is because she isn’t brand conscious and doesn’t mind being her unfiltered self in front of other people. She feels as though people nowadays prefer authenticity over stardom and her being this way helps. Hence, she doesn’t mind going to the airport with freshly washed hair and no makeup.
“In today’s day and age, I don’t know if an aspirational, elusive, star-like aura is firstly possible or even necessarily connecting. People are seeking honesty and authenticity from celebrities. Whether it’s going to the airport with freshly washed hair and not doing my hair and make-up unless it’s absolutely necessary, I really am who I am,” she added.
