Salman Khan has been embroiled in a fair share of legal controversies over the years; from an alleged hit-and-run case to the alleged shooting of endangered chinkaras. Now he has returned to court, not to defend himself against an accusation but to make an accusation of his own!
Salman Khan has slapped a defamation suit against a TV news channel for allegedly conducting a sting operation which, according to the channel, captured witnesses on tape claiming they saw the actor shoot endangered chinkaras in Jodhpur.Â
Salman Khan was accused of shooting endangered chinkaras in Jodhpur in 1998, during the production of the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.
The actor wants to stop the news channel from releasing the footage and is also claiming Rs. 100 crore in damages.
However, according to the channel, the witnesses from the video later turned hostile and claimed the footage was doctored.
The matter will be heard by the court on the 18th of November. Until then, we’ll simply have to wait and watch.
