“I Don’t Feel Like It’s An Additional Responsibility,” Saif Ali Khan On Having Baby Taimur

Already a father of two kids Sara and Ibrahim, Saif Ali Khan welcomed another baby in his royal world on December 20. The arrival of Saifeena baby was much awaited and Twittersphere exploded with Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi‘s birth.

But Saif doesn’t think it as an additional responsibility. In an interview to Hindustan Times, the super-psyched father said:

“I feel 40-45 is a good age. Although my father (the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi) wasn’t a very religious person, he wrote me a note on my 40th birthday that said, ‘The secret of Islam was revealed to the Prophet on his 40th birthday’. I think what he meant was that this is the age when you are sorted.”

He added that it is nice to share his life with a third child as now he feels more settled. But, with his first two kids the feeling was different.

“I want to bring up another child, and teach him things and have our thoughts [family values], hopefully, passed on through him. You always like to pass on things (to the next generation). In the same way, what does Pataudi Palace (stand) for? It’s the continuation (of family values). For me, life is all about a creative job, friends and hopefully family. These are important things in every possible way.”

About his Begum, who wants to be back on her feet within a month of her delivery, he quips that she was never off her feet. And that she understands the balance between work and home, very well.

“Sometimes, she manages to finish shooting a film and we don’t even miss her at home.”

He even divulged that Bebo is really excited for Rhea Kapoor’s ‘Veere Di Wedding’, he’s all set to become a doting father again and pass on his legacy to his three children.

Their baby’s name might be embroiled in controversies right now, but we wish them oodles of happiness and joy.
