It is safe to say that Rishi Kapoor doesn’t have a filter when it comes to voicing his opinion. Be it his explosive interviews or uncensored tweets, Rishi Kapoor doesn’t believe in mincing his words. Like they say, he is as brazen as brazen can be.
While most of it includes giving back to trolls (discounting the abusive DMs here), the rest involves standing up for his family and rightly so. In fact, the veteran can get particularly touchy when it comes to his son, Ranbir Kapoor who, and correct me if I’m wrong, is Papparazi’s favourite (soft target).
If you do not believe me, just flip back the pages of ‘The Trending’ and the headlines will tell you the story. The story of Ranbir, his alleged lady-love Mahira and the cigarettes they were seen smoking. While the assumptions were the worst, the now-viral pictures bore the brunt of all the zooming in there could be.
And the one person who is really angry in its aftermath is Rishi Kapoor. No, not because he is privy in Ranbir’s life but he is fed up of the questions that he is being hounded with. He told Hindustan Times yesterday,
“I have also seen the picture this morning itself. It doesn’t concern me, so please keep me out. Ask the one who is there in the picture.”
Having said that, he didn’t fail to come to Ranbir’s defence saying that he is a bachelor and there was nothing in the picture that states otherwise.
“You see, Ranbir is a young star, he is unmarried, he’s a bachelor. He can meet anybody whoever he wants to, and if people are going to invade his privacy, it’s not done.”

“And I can’t say anything about all this because he’s a young man and he has the choice of meeting any girl.”
And all throughout, he maintained that the pictures are as much news to him as to anybody. “It’s not that I saw these pictures before or I know anything about this already,” he insisted.
Not just that. He went on to rubbish the rumours of Ranbir and Mahira dating and how!
While it is only Ranbir or Mahira who can confirm the above mentioned, it’d be ignorant to ignore papa Kapoor’s notion. Until then, can we please put a stop on the moral brigade that is slut-shaming Mahira Khan?
