Anurag Kashyap’s new film Bombay Velvet is out *much excited*. He has spared no effort in making it a believable premise. But, the film received mixed opinions as there were people on both sides of the argument. To each, his own.
Despite some people not appreciating the movie or the beauty that the noir tribute to Bombay it brings with itself, Anurag Kashyap stood up to Bombay Velvet and wrote a post on his Facebook profile for fans and haters alike.
He said he was proud of Bombay Velvet and the way it has turned out to be in spite of mixed opinions about it, and quoted: “This is the film I wanted to make and I am glad I got to make it.”
Ram Gopal Verma, known for his maverick works, just couldn’t resist commenting on it. And a Twitter war followed between these two. (not that we’re complaining)
Comparison much?
A director standing by his film rejected by the audience is like him telling a girl “I love myself and I don’t care if you don’t love me”

Who owned whom?! That’s for you to decide. May be this was Round-1. Till then, I can just say, may the ‘war’ Rest In Peace.
