Ranveer Singh is well known for getting into the skin of every character he plays by his phenomenal skills of method-acting. The star is currently prepping up to don the avatar of the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in his upcoming biopic ’83.
Like always, he is doing what it takes to ace his performance as the former Indian cricket team captain, who led India to World Cup victory in 1993.
Reports were rife that Ranveer will be trained by none other than the man himself for the film. Accordingly, the actor has started his preparations under the guidance of Kapil Dev in Dharamshala.
On Saturday morning, Ranveer took to social media to share a snap with the cricketer all the way from the stadium. Clad in blue Indian cricket team jerseys, both of them looked engrossed in some serious conversation apparently about cricket!
Ranveer captioned the picture saying, “Becoming the hurricane #KapilDev #Legend #JourneyBegins @83thefilm”.
The actor has been training hard for the Kabir Khan directorial. Pictures and videos of him trying to master the strokes and shots have been doing rounds on social media, lately.
The film, which also stars Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Saqeeb Salim among others is set to hit the screens in April 2020. Deepika Padukone was also rumored to play the female lead in the film.
Ranveer had a super successful 2018 with Padmaavat and Simba, which broke all the box office records. We hope he adds another blockbuster to his kitty with ’83!
