Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of ₹500 and ₹1000 currency notes, the opposition parties have made a united front against the government to oppose the economic reform. Continuing with their protest, Congress VP Rahul Gandhi and Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee held a joint press conference to thrash the move again.
