Punjab’s COVID-19 +ve Cops Share Positivity & Workout Videos From The Hospital

The frontline warriors like healthcare workers, transporters, police among others are risking their lives to protect and ensure a smooth running of things amidst coronavirus lockdown. Many of them have also been tested positive of COVID-19.

One of them is Punjab police constable Prabhjot Singh who bravely maintains that getting infected with the novel coronavirus while on duty is no big deal for him, reports TNIE. The cop is trying to keep the spirits of his colleagues and family high by doing pushups in the hospital.

“I want to tell my colleagues that it is not a big deal to be tested positive for the virus. I want to remain fir so I am doing push-ups,” Prabhjot said in the video.

Another cop, sub-inspector Arshpreet Kaur Grewal too has tested positive for COVID-19, reports The Tribune. She shared a motivational video message for her colleagues, family, friends, relatives, and public urging them to stay home and contain the spread of coronavirus.

“Stay strong and we will definitely win this fight against COVID-19. Take all precautions while on duty, wash your hands frequently, wear masks and use sanitizers. Eat a healthy nutritious diet, do not skip meals and take proper rest. This will allow you to do your duty in an effective way,” she said in her Facebook video message.

Kaur is posted as Station House Officer (SHO) of Basti Jodhewal Police Station in Ludhiana. Thanking her family and friends she said, “I would also like to thank all my relatives, friends and everyone who is messaging me and talking to me. I want to tell them that I am all right and doing well and I will soon join duty.”

“Please stay home, stay safe as lives are very precious. The police, as well as the civil department, are making all efforts to look after you so please stay home,” she said.

Both Prabhjot and Arshpreet had come in contact with Assistant Commissioner of Police Anil Kohli who died of coronavirus recently. Kaur paid tribute to her senior officer. She also thanked Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, DGP Dinkar Gupta, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Rakesh Agrawal and other senior officers in the department.

Sharing her video, DGP Punjab Police also lauded Arshpreet for her positive message.
