This Short Film By Pixar Animators Is So DARK, It’ll Leave You Beautifully Shattered

Pixar has been known to deliver some of the best animated films of all time. While these films are generally meant for kids, the animation company does add certain dark layers to some of them. Some are quite prominent like the sad demise of the imaginary elephant in ‘Inside Out’, while others might be quite subtle like the fate of the toys in ‘Toy Story 3’.

This short film, Borrowed Time, has been created by two Pixar animators and is one of the darkest animated films I’ve seen in a long time. The film explores themes of mortality and the will to live. The end will leave you beautifully devastated. Worth a watch.
