The world has been unkind and unfair to a vast section of people while it has blessed others with the privilege of owning good clothes, eating proper meals, having a roof over their heads, and earning enough to live a comfortable life. But with privilege comes a responsibility – to use it for the benefit of the less fortunate.
In a bid to do exactly that, Noida’s Film City has put up a ‘Wall of Kindness’ which urges people to leave behind any extra clothes they might have for the poor. It also urges those in need to pick any item of clothing they wish.
Pictures of this wall were posted on Twitter by a user who spotted it next to her office. Under a shed, several clothes which appear to be in proper condition are seen hanging. The message reads:
“Jo aapke paas adhik hai yaha chhod jaye. Jo aapke paas nahi hai yaha se le jaye.”
This roughly translates to, “If you have something in excess, leave it here. If there is something you don’t have, take it from here.”
Have a look at her tweet here:
Such a positive feeling after seeing this infront of a building next to my office. Good initiative and good deed too. I am for sure contributing to this नेकी की दीवार pic.twitter.com/f4Z7NSbakh

As her tweet went viral, many others took to the comment section to write about other cities which have taken similar initiatives.
For example, Mysuru has a ‘Wall of Kindness’ too!
Appreciate the initiative 👌🏽 We have a similar kind of wall in our city #Mysuru as well since 2017. Maintaining is the key.https://t.co/MMpTT68oaT pic.twitter.com/jjgJhbDed6

Maharashtra too has a ‘Wall of Humanity’ from where the poor can take clothes, shoes, toys, and more.
Here in Solapur Maharashtra we have same concept, known as wall of humanity. People having cloths, shoes, toys of babies, and much more is kept here, and one who needs it is free to choose what he wants. All donations here are good in condition.

People online lauded the ‘Wall of Kindness’ and some even expressed the desire to start similar initiatives themselves!
Ultimately we have to leave all things so better leave for someone needy before your eyes.GGreat initiative by some great people.
