Fans Slam 69th National Awards For Not Giving ‘Best Actor’ To Vicky Kaushal For ‘Sardar Udham’

Recently, the list of winners for the 69th National Awards was announced and it stirred up many film enthusiasts the wrong way. While Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon are to share the ‘Best Actress’ award for their respective performances in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Mimi’, Allu Arjun won the ‘Best Actor’ category for his film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. A potential contender for this category would have been Vicky Kaushal for ‘Sardar Udham’ but he wasn’t even nominated.

Even though ‘Sardar Udham’ ended up winning 5 National Awards including Best Hindi Film, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Designer, Best Production Design and Best Audiography, the fact that Vicky Kaushal didn’t receive his due recognition for his remarkable performance in the film left many people disappointed.
