Nargis Fakhri was recently in the news for traveling to the USA and leaving the promotion of Housefull 3 midway. Many speculated that she had broken up with Uday Chopra and needed a break from him.

Turns out, the actress left for the USA to fight the life-threatening disease. She had a serious case of lead and arsenic poisoning.

“When I came here, I had arsenic and lead poisoning and no one knew what was wrong with me. It can happen in many ways — it could be in the water, food, rusted lead pipes in an old building… The doctor tested me, but he was so scared because it was at a very high level and I asked him ‘What do I do?’ Then I cured myself.”

However, the actress cured herself using the techniques of Ayurveda and Naturopathy.

Her mother, who had fibrosis in her ovaries took only Ayurveda and cured herself. Nargis was inspired by this and took Ayurveda as a treatment too.
