MUMBAI ON HIGH ALERT After 2 School Kids Spot Terror Suspects With Firearms In Uran

The city of Mumbai has been a victim of several terrorist attacks over the years. Being the financial capital of the nation, the city has been a prime target for hostile forces both foreign and domestic. Yesterday, the city was once again on high alert.

The city of Mumbai is on high alert, as two school kids claim to have seen masked men carrying fire arms in the Uran locality, 47km from Mumbai.

At 6:30am, a school boy reported of seeing a masked man carrying a firearm. Just 16 minutes later, a school girl reported of seeing five to six masked men in pathan suits carrying firearms and backpacks.

 

With very similar information coming from two sources, security agencies took the tip seriously and informed the Navy about it.

Marcos commandos spoke to the police and both the kids. The girl said she overheard them saying “school” and “ONGC”. ONGC has a large base of operations in Uran.

 

Based on descriptions given by the two school children, the Navy has even released sketchs of the suspected terrorists.

Prior to the release of these sketches, the school kids who claimed to have seen these men have been taken to an undisclosed secured location for further questioning.

 

Soon after the news the police commissioner of Navi Mumbai, Hemant Nagrale, arrived along with 500 policemen.

Security at the ONGC refinery has been beefed up, and the police are now combing the area for the suspects. Moreover, security at important monuments along the coast like the Taj and Gateway of India have also been provided extra security.
