Couple Who Wanted To Turn Monks Abandoning Their 3YO Girl JUST Did It And Here’s What We Know

Religion has been one topic for a lot of debate in the world. While some agree to its prophecies and follow it without reluctance, some completely disagree and decide a path of their own and there are also those who agree to disagree.

We happen to come across one such case of religious debate a few days back and now here’s everything we know about it currently.

August 2017: A Jain couple in their mid thirty’s from Madhya Pradesh, Sumit and Anamika Rathore were planning to leave their 3-year-old daughter, Ibhiya and 100 crore property to renounce the world and adopt monkhood.

While the majority of Rathore’s family members were supportive of their decision, there were some who were reluctant about it too. Among a lot of questions that were being raised for the 3 year old daughter, Anamika’s parents vouched to raise her up.

16th September 2017: The couple, however, faced a lot of backlash after the news was out and people simply couldn’t stop showing their concern for the 3-year-old kid.

The impact of the criticism was so high, that there were many who even complained about the couple’s decision to National Human Rights Commission.

23rd of September: Despite all the backlash, Sumit went ahead with his decision of becoming a monk. In a ceremony held at Surat, Sumit christened himself as Sumit Muni.

Sumit’s wife, Anamika, who was supposed to take up monkhood along with him was asked to hold her decision for 2 more days due to some legal matters.

Although there were speculations that Anamika had been refraining from the same due to the social pressure of who would take care of the kid.

25th September 2017: Two days after Sumit announced his renouncement, Anamika too has given in and declared herself as Saadhvi Ankaar after a small ceremony in Surat.

Shutting the rumours that it would take years for Anamika to become a Saadhvi due to the intervention from NHRC and other people about her kid, she announced her monkhood as soon as she got her daughter’s adoption papers.

According to Hindustan Times, here is what Anamika told the NHRC officials who tried probing into the matter,

“My child will not become an orphan if I leave her. My brother and sister-in-law who are issueless have gladly adopted her. My father’s family is rich and so is my father-in-law’s family. The charges leveled by public representatives and others who had complained to the NHRC are false and had been done to get cheap publicity.”

For peaceful proceeding of the ceremony, she also presented her daughter’s adoption papers to NHRC administrative officials.

For now, the couple has taken a vow of silence and decided to continue with their monkhood.

We hope the daughter remains healthy and happy with her close relatives.
