I don’t know about you, but my parents often lecture me on how following a healthy lifestyle, staying disciplined, waking up early and spending less time on my phone will make me a better person, just like a monk.
Yes, these spiritually inclined people, some clad in saffron attire, don’t go to any gym or follow rigorous diets, but are certainly fitter than most of us. This morning, I stumbled upon a video wherein a monk didn’t sell his Ferrari, but instead, climbed a hill as if he was walking in a park.
The clip shows a hiker gearing up to climb a steep mountain with his equipment and a rope while a monk does it with so much ease and absolutely no gear.
You need to watch it to believe it.
A monk is climbing a steep slope without ropes. Nearby climbers are a little shocked by what they just saw. Even i am shocked 🙁

I was in awe of the monk and so were people online. Here’s how they reacted to the video:

The Monk sees the cliff face as the path he has to take to his destination.
The climbers see the same cliff face as a means of testing their prowess and show their knowledge of the intricacies of climbing equipment use.
Big difference.

Imagine you’re rock climbing and you look to your right and you see a monk walking up the mountain??? https://t.co/wS4BMfbHf9

His feet caress the rough earth with love, yours stab it with pointed spikes to conquer it. That's the difference.🙏

Had the same experience in Amarnath. We had winter gear& were going up the cold snowy mountain on ponies, while a yogiji walked up calmly barefoot with one saffron sheet over him.
Will never forget the vision.

Well, even though this video is all kinds of awesome, I am making sure my parents don’t watch it. I really want to sleep in peace over the weekend without my parents yelling at me, “Kuch seekh insey. Saara din bed pe padey rehney se kuch nhi hoga.”
