Mom Hands Out 200 Earplugs With Candy & Advance Apology On Plane Fearing Baby ‘May Cry’

Traveling in a long-haul flight with a baby on-board can be troublesome whether you are a parent or a fellow passenger. The journey may sometimes be full of cries and cranks of the baby in mid-air with nowhere to escape to.

But a mum of four-month-old baby traveling to San Fransisco from Seoul, South Korea has set some new unattainable standards of parenting.

She was not sure if her baby would keep calm throughout the 10-hour long flight or would behave crankily due to turbulence and air pressure on the flight.

So, she did a sweet gesture to her fellow passengers to apologize ahead of time if her baby cries during the flight.

The mother handed out 200 goodie bags to every passenger on the plane before it took off. Each goodie bag had earplugs, Korean candy, and an apology note.

One of the passengers on board, Dave Corona shared the sweet gesture of the mother on Facebook. “A very touching gesture by the mother but as you know when you have kids expect the unexpected,” he wrote.

The note was written from the baby’s perspective that read:

“Hello, I’m Junwoo and I’m 4 months old.
Today, I am going to the U.S. with my mom and grandma to see my aunt.
I am a little bit nervous and scary because this is my first flight in my life, which means that I may cry or make too much noise.
I will try to go quietly, though I can’t make any promises..Please excuse me.
So my mom prepared little goodie bag for you! It has some candies and earplugs. Please use it when it’s too noisy because of me.
Enjoy your trip. Thank you. :’)”

The thoughtful gesture by mom has left many netizens impressed. But some believe that it was ‘unnecessary’ as most people understand the stress of traveling with children.

While it’s an empathetic move by the mother, is it actually something we should encourage? Because, well, let’s admit it: babies cry. And adults understand. Not the other way round.
