Mohammed Shami’s ‘Bahut Acha English’ Leaves Kohli And Simon Doull Impressed, Watch Video

With a straight 3-0 series victory, team India sealed the deal with their stunning performance in the 5 match series against New Zealand. The men in blue romped their way to another clinical win making Virat Kohli the first ever Indian captain to win back-to-back ODI series in Australia and New Zealand.

By choosing to bat first, Kiwis could only manage to settle at a mediocre score of 243 runs in total. And this made the chase easier for team India.

Backed by thunderous batting, the great bowling performances by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal who bagged two wickets each worked wonders for India. But the golden figures of 3-41 by Mohammed Shami, indeed, played a crucial part in making team India script history.

No doubt, Shami who won ‘Man of the match’ title in the first match reclaimed it in the third ODI of the series as well. Apart from his brilliant bowling, what gathered praises to Shami was his English speaking skills at the presentation.

Simon Doull was bowled over by the way Shami answered his questions and replied, “Your English bohut acha, congratulations”. And, Kohli burst out laughing.

Shami who earlier had Virat as a company during the presentation to translate questions for him decided to go solo this time and how!

Shami said, “It’s really difficult to bowl against the wind. One comes with the wind and the other is against the wind. It is difficult but not too hard. Bhuvi at the other end was also a great help. Sticking to areas where we want to bowl is the key.”

A ten on ten for English from our side too, Shami!
