Nasser Hussain Called Mohammad Kaif A ‘Bus Driver’ In 2002 But His Reply Now Takes The Trophy

Mohammad Kaif

Good morning. You have reached destination: Mohammad Kaif admiration club and no, it is not random. While we shouldn’t wait for reasons to dawn, for praising a man of mettle like Kaif who bowled us over with his on-pitch skills, but today we are fortunate to have stumbled upon another reason and it is as good as his bat!

All thanks to a recent session of #AskKaif on Twitter.

Now, there was no troll but Kaif still had a wicket-giraoing reply and it is too good to go amiss! Actually, on second thoughts, there WAS some trolling off the Internet (read sledging) that the former batsman had to face back in 2002 and well, why don’t I let the tweets do the talking…

It so happened that a fan seized the opportunity and asked him about the time he had a ‘talk’ with Yuvi when India was playing against England at the Lord’s in the final of the 50-over NatWest Trophy.

He hit the nail when he asked about sledging by English players…

And to everyone’s surprise, the man of the moment had a googly ready.

Turns out, Nasser Hussain, the former captain of the England team called him a ‘bus driver’. And I know that should be the highlight but it is Kaif’s reply that takes the trophy for me!

“Yes, Nasser Hussain actually called me a Bus driver 🙂 was good to take them for a ride!”

Howzat?!

For those of you who are not in the know (judging you a lot), he is referring to our historic win!
