Modi Kept Politics Aside And Sent Sonia Gandhi A Doctor And Plane When She Fell Ill In Varanasi

Congress suffered its biggest defeat in the General Elections held in 2014.

During the campaigns before that, both sides were flinging mud at each other in the form of accusations, expletives, and insults that bordered at animosity.

It is not news that Sonia Gandhi and Narendra Modi do not see eye to eye.

But in a recent election campaign, Sonia Gandhi fell ill in Varanasi, cutting her campaign short. She was rushed to the Army RR hospital in New Delhi.

 

Narendra Modi, keeping all the dirty politics aside, sent a doctor to check up on her health and also offered to send a plane so that she could get back to New Delhi without hassles.

He also called up former Delhi CM Sheila Dixit to enquire about Sonia Gandhi’s health.

This is a good show of gesture and more importantly of good manners.

Not everything is down and dirty in politics.
