It was a historic moment for 24-year-old Dorcas Kasinde, as she was crowned Miss Congo 2018 on Friday, at the annual pageant held in Cross River State in Nigeria. However, keeping the incredible feat aside, the event went viral for a disastrous ending which could have gone worse on another day.
The grand announcement that declared Kasinde as the winner was followed by sparkling fireworks to celebrate the ecstatic moment. But unfortunately, the sparklers landed straight on her beautiful afro setting it ablaze!
In a video gone viral, Kasinde can be seen in tears because of her outstanding accomplishment. In the very next second, she realizes that her hair has caught fire and freaks out in horror!
However, a man quickly jumped into action and put out the fire before it does any damage.

She was absolutely fine as the situation was controlled in no time and wore her crown again. She went on to collect her reward of a utility sports car and N12.7 million grand prize.
