Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’s New Face Is A 105-Year-Old Lady Who Sold Her Goats To Construct Toilets

Kunwar Bai from Chattisgarh is over a century old but her zest for life is as bright as it could get.
 

105-year-old lady, full of spirit and empathy for the nation has been selected by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to be the new face of his Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Earlier this year in February when Mr. Narendra Modi was in Chattisgarh he facilitated Kunwar Bai for building toilets in her village by selling all her goats.
 

Kunwar Bai who lives in Dhamtari’s Kotabharri village has dedicated her life to spreading awareness in people about the harmful effects defecating in the open.  

She has been aptly chosen as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’s new Mascot. Prime Minister will also be honouring her on ‘Swacchta Diwas’ that is going to take place in Delhi on September 17.
