Numerous brutal crimes against women being reported every day in the country suggest that we need a strong police force and even stronger laws. Directed by Gopi Puthran and produced by Aditya Chopra, the movie ‘Mardaani 2’ shows the struggles of a fierce police inspector fighting against societal malaise. The film that released today is a sequel to the 2014 film ‘Mardaani’ that features Rani Mukerji in yet another fierce avatar.
Rani is seen acing the role of a ‘dabang’ Police Inspector, Shivani Roy who chases the 21-year-old villain infamous for planning crimes against women. After the prequel of the action-packed movie was able to impress people at the theatres, its sequel ‘Mardaani 2’ was much anticipated by the critics and the audiences equally.

#Mardaani2 lacks the grip factor of its 1st part due to a generic writing. Vishal Jethwa has done justice to his character as the baddie but his character is underdeveloped which wasn't the case with prequel. Rani is once again solid but the film isn't. Nevertheless an Okay watch
