Maneka Gandhi Did A QnA On Facebook And Sparked A Controversy With One Particular Reply

Communication in India is seeing a change in its face with the advent of technology. Where earlier people wrote letters to famous people to get in touch with them and wait for months hoping that they get a reply, now with social media, they are quite assured that their message will reach its destination.

Not just film stars and sports celebrities but even politicians have now opted the smart way of getting in touch with people through social media. Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi had one such QnA session on Facebook on Monday.

Among the many questions that she answered her last reply sparked potential controversy on social media. While one side she said that male and female are equal, she blatantly generalized a situation without any statistics to support it by saying “all violence is male generated.”
