Man Poses As Fake Delivery Guy & Steals 3,000 Irish Whiskey Bottles Worth ₹16 Lakh!

Winter is here and many love to stock up on booze to drive away the cold! After all, bonfires and booze are a few of the most loved parts of Christmas for most adults.

So a man apparently decided to get his hands on alcohol stock for the season but for free. When he spotted an empty HGV cab full of bottles of liqueur, decided to disguise himself as a delivery boy. He attached the trailer which had around 3000 bottles of Jameson Irish whiskey to his ride and drove away.

The incident happened at McBurney Transport on Dunes Way in Liverpool. Cops made a public appeal for more information when they found the empty trailer of booze in a nearby area. Describing the incident in detail, a spokesperson told Echo, “We’re appealing for information following the high-value theft of whiskey from premises in Kirkdale.”

“At around 8:40 pm on Monday, November 25, a man wearing a high-vis jacket and hard hat gained entry to in an empty HGV cab, and connected the cab to a trailer containing around £180,000 of Jamieson’s whiskey. He drove off and the trailer was later found empty in Atherton Road in Walton,” he added.
