Adding to the misery of common people, the rates of cooking gas have skyrocketed in the country. Yesterday, the price of domestic cooking gas (LPG) was increased by Rs 50 per cylinder while petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 80 paise a litre, reported Tribune India.
The rates of these goods differ from state to state depending on the local tax such as VAT. But as of now, petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 96.21 per litre as compared to Rs 95.41 earlier. With the price rise, Delhiites will have to pay Rs 86.67 per litre for diesel.
Whereas, a 14.2-kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder can be procured at Rs 949.50 in Delhi and Mumbai. Consumers in Kolkata will have to pay Rs 976 for the cylinder while in Chennai, it will come to Rs 965.50, reported News18.

The drastic rise in the cost of LPG, petrol and diesel will burn a whole hole in the pockets of the consumers. And definitely, no one is convinced with it.
