This Independence Day, Let’s Have A Look At How India Has Evolved Technologically Since 1947

Technology has changed a lot. I can’t even think of picking up a landline now, because I swear I don’t even know the number anymore. It’s impossible to imagine a world without tech today, but hey, what’s commonplace today wasn’t so 50 years ago.

So this 70th Independence Day, I bid adieu to the yesteryears and thank all the new swanky stuff for making our life so much better.

1. Finding your way

Before: Ask every tom, dick and harry for direction, who for fun will mislead you, thus, you end up roaming in circles around the same damn garden.

After: Google maps is bae.

2. Learning new stuff

Before: Going door to door, waiting for ages to meet the ‘right person’ who’d give you time enough for a meeting.

Before: Jumping onto a hand pulled rickshaw, going only a little faster than a tortoise and never making it anywhere in time.

After: Whizzing away on your cute Bajaj Qute and reaching 10 minutes before time, because Quadricycles are awesome.

For all those who’ve lost hope of ever travelling comfortably in public transport, Bajaj has launched a nifty alternative. Enter, the Bajaj Qute, the first of its kind motorized Quadricycle, that’s not only compact enough to maneuver through the Indian streets, but is the most environment friendly vehicle around.  For every kilometer it covers, the Qute only emits 66 gram of carbon dioxide, thus making it more efficient and safe.
