The Board of Control for Cricket In India’s (BCCI) decision to call time on Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s phenomenal reign as a captain and inaugurate Virat Kohli as his successor gave birth to a plethora of rumors. Smelling a potential rift between the two pillars of the Indian team, many assumed that the aggressive approach of Kohli and his growing appetite for wins saw Dhoni lose his spot as the skipper.

However, both the gentlemen have rubbished all speculations on numerous occasions, with their actions and words. Mahendra Singh Dhoni did not show the slightest sign of hesitation when asked to pave the way for the new skipper. Virat has returned the favor in style by standing as a shield by Dhoni when the latter’s willow failed to fire.

Captains of their respective teams, the superstars were seen having a gala time on the field chatting and sharing a laugh with each other before the start of the game. They went on to take their bromance to a new level by hugging each other in front of the thousands at the M Chinnaswamy stadium giving them a moment to cherish.
