Kit Harington Gets Engaged To Girlfriend Rose Leslie And We Are Gushing At The Union

Game of Thrones may have trampled on our hearts and subjected us to trauma with its constant battles, deaths of our favourite character (Hodor, sigh!) and cliffhangers but the show has also given us some great characters who have awed us with their character development in the series.

One such character is Jon Snow and the actor, Kit Harington, playing him has shown some real character development in real life as well. Remember Ygritte? Yup, the same girl who immortalised the phrase “You know nothing Jon Snow”. Turns out, they got engaged!

If you have been living under a rock, let me break your heart. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) have been together for 5 years now and fell in love while shooting for season 2 of Game of Thrones as reported by PEOPLE.

Ygritte’s character has been dead on the show for quite some time now but the couples’ chemistry won hearts everywhere when they disappeared into the cave of their love (sorry, I had to!) and Jon Snow’s face when she died left us heartbroken too.

However, the couples’ love has been alive and kicking and they have finally decided to make it official with an engagement announcement in their hometown newspaper of the Times in England.

The news of the actors’ engagement obviously spread quickly and Twitter is gushing at the union, as are we!

We are thrilled with the news and we wish Kit and Rose have a beautiful, happy married life together.
