While scrolling through social media this morning, I stumbled upon a video of a desi Spider-man. Not that he was bit by a spider, nor did he shoot cobwebs from his wrists, but he definitely climbed a wall with ease.
In a video shared online, a seven-year-old boy named Yasharth Singh Gaur from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur can be seen climbing a wall without any support. According to Times Of India, the young fella started attempting the stunt after he got inspired by the Superhero movie ‘Spider-Man’.
“When I saw the ‘Spider-Man’ movie, I wanted to climb walls like him. I tried doing that at home. Initially, I used to fall down, but later I mastered that technique. I told my brother about it, and he told everyone else,” said Yasharth.
The boy, however, also said that initially, his family members would discourage him to climb walls fearing that he might fall down and get hurt. But when he aced the skill, they weren’t fearful anymore. “I’m not afraid to fall. I will jump if I slip,” Yasharth added.

Not just Yasharth, another pre-teen boy, inspired by the superhero was seen attempting the same stunt. Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared his video urging people to applaud his efforts. He also penned a poem in Hindi expressing that more than winning or losing, participation matters.
