Channel Gives Kapil Sharma One Month Notice To Get Ratings Up Or They Will Cancel His Show

Kapil Sharma should have treated his employees/friends with respect. Because it seems like it was because of them he was on the top in the Indian TV ratings.

Forget the ratings, even the shoot of the show was not going great and Kapil Sharma went so far as to cancel the shoot altogether.

Because of these two factors, according to news published in TOI – plunging TV ratings and cancelled shoots, Sony Entertainment has decided to not renew ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ for another season. They have also given him one month to get his act together and get the ratings up.

And it seems reasonable. Because Kapil Sharma’s new contract was going to get him a sweet 106 crore rupee deal with the channel.

Yes, you read that right – 106 CRORES. No wonder Sony wants to get the ratings up if they are paying so much for the show.

 

After Sunil Grover left, the ratings of the show have dipped a lot – almost by 7 lakh viewers. That was enough to remove ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ from the top 10 TV shows in India. The show is even getting negativity on YouTube.

His numbers fell from 6 million to 5.3 million in the latest ratings. The negativity is not just limited to TV ratings. On YouTube, the number of dislikes on his latest uploaded videos is going up too.

Now it is up to Kapil to get the ratings up with the help of his new troupe mates Raju Srivastav and Ahsaan Qureshi.

But without the old sizzling chemistry of Sunil Grover, this show is going to see a very difficult month ahead.

As they say, pride comes before the fall.
