Javed Akhtar Hits Back At Asaduddin Owaisi In His Last Speech As MP

A few days ago, AIMIM party leader Asaduddin Owaisi, in a rally, took a stand that he will not be forced to chant the slogan, “Bharat Mata ki jai!” in response to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s message that Indians of today ought to be taught to chant such slogans.

In a very fitting response to Owaisi, celebrated lyricist and thinker Javed Akhtar, in his farewell speech after 6 years of being a MP, hit back saying that chanting of such slogans isn’t an Indian’s duty, but their right. Akhtar was applauded for his stance in the house.
