Horoscope matching is one of the traditions followed in our country to ascertain compatibility between potential partners. But you’ll be surprised to know that a hospital in Rajasthan is also using it – for medical diagnoses!
Unique Sangeeta Memorial Hospital in Jaipur has an astrologer on staff to look at a patient’s kundli and ascertain which illness he/she is suffering from.
According to India Today, Pandit Akhilesh Sharma is in charge of the astrological diagnoses.
“We collect the date, place, time and month of birth of the patients, and draw up our diagnosis. Our diagnosis is then compared with the doctor’s diagnosis.”
A surgeon at the medical institution, Dr Mahesh Kulkarni revealed that in over 70 cases, astrology proved to be a success in determining the ailing person’s disease. He believes that it is a faster approach and astrologers can also reveal how long the person will take to recover.
“The treatment is done with advanced medical technology. We only take help of astrology for diagnosis. Patients are really satisfied with this process.”
