Cricket is never a one-man show, it involves a combined effort from all 11 players.
With respect to this, Chennai Super Kings have had the best co-ordination of players and it was proved once again today. When the most successful team in the IPL with more or less the same core team gone for 2 years, the IPL draft indeed happens to be a point of interest.
As expected, 7 out of the 10 players drafted are from CSK while most of the RR players will go back to the pool for the main auction.
This is what happened.
Pune picked MSD for 12.5 crores.
So, Pune officially gets all the fan-base they’ll ever need.
His team-mate Ravichandran Ashwin.
Pune must be very happy to have Ashwin in their ranks.
And Faf du Plessis.
So, with him – Pune’s middle order is sorted.
Rajkot on the other hand bought the most consistent player of IPL, Suresh Raina.
So, no more Dhoni-Raina combination in this year’s IPL.
Brendon McCullum.
Who can forget that opening day of the first IPL?
Sir Ravindra Jadeja.
A valuable pick for the IPL, ATLEAST! 😛
And Dwayne Bravo.
Everyone knows what Bravo can do with the ball and the bat.
Ajinkya Rahane, Steve Smith and James Faulkner are the players who were selected from Rajasthan Royals.
This just goes on to prove although CSK are the most controversial team in IPL, they are the most formidable.
If Rajkot and Pune make it into the finals, it would be a great moment for CSK fans, like me. 🙂
