Her fans are so loyal and possessive about her that they can’t bear anyone speaking ill of her. One such fan is author Mithun Vijay Kumar who was irked when he saw the show ‘The Big Bang Theory’ on Netflix.

Taking to Twitter, he alleged that in one of the episodes of the show, one of the characters, Kunal Nayyar, uses an offensive and derogatory term to refer to the legendary Bollywood actress.

Since he is a die-hard Madhuri fan, he was deeply disturbed by the dialogue. Hence, he asked his lawyer to send a legal notice to Netflix, requesting that they remove the episode from their platform.

Here’s the legal notice he sent to Netflix.

For those unversed with the show, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is an American TV sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. It premiered on CBS on September 24, 2007, and concluded on May 16, 2019, with 279 episodes over 12 seasons.

In the pilot episode of season 2 of the show, the two main characters Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons) and Rajesh Koothrappali (played by Kunal Nayyar) are seen sitting on the sofa, watching TV, when Sheldon asked if the woman on TV was Aishwarya Rai.

To this, Rajesh responds, “Yes, isn’t she an amazing actress?” Sheldon then responds to him saying, “Actually I’d say she’s a poor man’s Madhuri Dixit.”

Offended by it, Rajesh screams at him and says, “Aishwarya Rai is a goddess, by comparison,  Madhuri Dixit is a leprous prostitute.”
