Currently, Turkey and Syria are literally under debris after they were struck by a massive earthquake on Monday. Visuals of buildings falling like a house of cards and humans and animals being stuck under concrete made our hearts bleed.
According to a report by The Guardian, in the past five days, nearly 21,719 people have died in Turkey while the death toll has reached 3,377 in Syria.

Amid such a crucial situation, several countries, including India have sent help and aid to Turkey and Syria. Apart from medical supplies and other necessary items, India has also sent a medical team and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel to help the country in rescuing the people still fighting for their lives from underneath the debris.
And while the internet is full of heartbreaking visuals from the quake-hit countries, a small clip of the rescue operation undertaken by NDRF personnel is giving us hope.
Taking to Twitter, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs shared a video showing the Indian rescue team successfully retrieving a 6-year-old girl from Nurdagi, Gaziantep.
“Standing with Türkiye in this natural calamity. India’s @NDRFHQ is carrying out rescue and relief operations at ground zero. Team IND-11 successfully retrieved a 6 years old girl from Nurdagi, Gaziantep today. #OperationDost” (sic)
