An Indian Actor Was Approached To Play Dumbledore In Harry Potter. Guess Who?

Dumbledore was a great wizard and most Harry Potter fans believe him to be the kind and intelligent headmaster of Hogwarts. Richard Harris was the actor who gave a face to this character in the movies.

But, did you know that an Indian actor was approached to play the Dumbledore’s part after the demise of Richard Harris?

Stunned? Yeah, me too! (I can actually guess the expression on your face right now!).

 

Apparently, the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah was approached to play the role of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

NASEERUDDIN SHAH WAS ASKED TO PLAY DUMBLEDORE!

 

The actor confirmed this news on a Twitter chat with the Times Of India.

This is what he said:

So yeah, instead of Michael Gambon, the world would have witnessed this man in this iconic role!

Why did he deny this role? I can’t think of any reason why any actor would deny this role!
