Hyderabad Youth Designs A Smart Bangle That Electrocutes Attackers & Notifies Cops!

When it comes to the safety of women, there is no denying that India has come a long way. While we have moved forward from perceiving a woman housewife or homemaker to a strong, independent and driven individual, we still have a long way to go when it comes to women’s safety.

It’s precisely why a Hyderabad-based innovator ideated something that will safeguard women from harassment in public places.

Gadi Harish, a 23-year-old has an innovative solution to tackle increasing incidents of violence against women. Along with his friend, Sai Teja, Gadi invented a bangle-like device which generates shock and sends live location and warnings to relatives and the police if a woman is in danger. His ‘smart’ bangle is meant to enhance the security of women.

The device, ‘Self-Security Bangle for Women’ is capable of giving an electric shock to a potential attacker and sending messages and live location to the nearest police station when activated.

Talking about his novel idea, Gadi Harish said, “I have developed a project named self-security bangle for women, this device is completely different from the devices available in the market. I have developed this project with the help of my friend, Sai Teja. The main concept of this project is to give security to women as nowadays we observe a lot of rape and missing cases of women.”

He further explained how the bangle can be activated to give an electric shock to the perpetrator.

“If someone attacks the woman wearing the bangle she’ll have to tilt her hand in a certain angle which will automatically activate the device and give an electric shock to the attacker.”

The prototype is already impressive. But Harish and his friend are now seeking government support to develop and produce it. We hope the bangle sees the light of the day soon and helps offer women a line of defence to tackle unforeseen situations and potential attackers.
