The Internet has become nesting grounds for keyboard warriors and trolls who do not miss a single opportunity to shame celebrities whenever they express themselves on social media. Whether it is an actresses’ dress or celebrities just being themselves, they do not miss an opportunity to “call them out” for anything they do.
But times have changed and celebrities do not keep quiet and take the hate anymore, they retaliate and shut down these trolls. Remember when Taapsee Pannu gave a karara jawab to a person trolling her? Or when Harbhajan Singh shut down a person telling him to behave like a sardar?
Looks like a new name has been added to the list and it’s none other than Huma Qureshi.
The actress who has earned laurels in the industry because of her talent and beauty recently took to Twitter to complain about traffic. She wrote,
You know you are in #NewDelhi … when u are stuck in traffic for 45 mins when your destination is just 15 mins away in the real world !! 🚗 We need a solution!! better public transport?odd even? taxing people keeping more than one car ?
— Huma S Qureshi (@humasqureshi) December 22, 2017
If you look at it, the request is a valid one. However, the only difference is, that Huma is a well-known name and that leaves her vulnerable to criticism at every step. One such person chose to do the same and wrote,
With all due respect, when was the last time you used local transport buses or probably pooled in to your destination?! It's extremely convenient to comfortably sit in your AC car and pass on such tweets!

So, just because a person doesn’t travel in public transport, does that make their troubles and opinions null and void?
But, Huma chose not to lash out at the person and decided to handle it with grace. She also reiterated her point and her silent reply was a true mark of intelligence.
I am also urging the govt to start taxing car users with more than one car in order to dissuade the high no. of cars on the road .. and improve public transport https://t.co/f1fptAwGvG

As the famous dialogue in Spiderman goes “With great power comes great responsibility” and Huma decided to use her platform to promote the greater good. Can we stop scrutinising celebrities even when they want to do good?
